Our
mission?
We strive to connect young people with local and alternative communication processes by strengthening their research and digital journalism production skills.
The Media School ‘sin comillas’ is a collaborative space for exploring and learning about multimedia narrative journalism. Our goal is to reflect on diverse local realities, focusing on peace and gender equity. Our methodology is based on encouraging participants to be active subjects in each of the production phases of their reports, as well as to experience the potential that digital media offers for alternative- and community-based communication.
We strive to connect young people with local and alternative communication processes by strengthening their research and digital journalism production skills.
Recognizing diversity within society to work against the reproduction of gender stereotypes and prejudices.
Promoting dialogue and participation within our communities to consolidate a reality of peace with social justice.
Promoting the use of free digital techniques to report community stories in a legal and collaborative way.
Our methodological approach promotes a collective construction of knowledge, while recognizing the diversity that each person contributes with to the process. We are committed to facilitate experimentation and direct exposure to journalism as a profession from the very first session of the media school, as we believe that multimedia reports come to life through practical experience.
